▶︎ What is this workshop about?
The MiScreen A4 is an innovative digital screen-burning system that exposes silkscreens in seconds, streamlining traditional screen preparation. You’ll learn the basics of silkscreen printing for paper and apparel—from preparing a basic 1-color design to pulling your own screenprints. Bring a digital file to be burned onto a screen (illustrations/photos must be Black & White with strong contrast), and move quickly from concept to print.

NOTE: This workshop is for single color screenprinting only (1 ink color: white, black, red, green, pink, blue are available). Maximum print dimensions: maximum size: A4 size (21cm x 30cm) or half A4 size (15cm x 21cm). Feel free to bring several design options & ask instructors which would be best.

▶︎ Meet the Instructors, Jun Ha and Dave Bow!

Jun Ha is a visual designer, printmaking & video artist from LA with over 6 years of experience in RISO printing for their personal visual art/design practice and as a service for other creatives. They graduated from ArtCenter College of Design (BFA Illustration) in 2020, and is currently Co-Founder and Resident Instructor at RISO Studio Arts.

Dave Bow is a Los Angeles based printmaker and artist. As a co-founder of RISO Studio Arts and the DIY collective Non Plus Ultra he has been an active member of the LA art scene for 14 years. Dave is passionate about expanding the creative possibilities of RISO and sharing this unique printing process with others.

RISO Studio Arts is a dedicated print technology and creative hub operating in Chinatown, Los Angeles (CA) and Portland (OR). Serving as an official North American RISO sales, repair, and service team–We specialize in Risograph and silkscreen equipment, while also providing open-access studio spaces, workshops, and artist residencies for the creative community. We aim to bridge the gap between commercial print technology and art, offering a range of services to independent artists, schools, and businesses.
